There is now a full house at the
training camp of the Super Eagles ‘B’ to face UEFA Europa League winners
Atletico Madrid on Tuesday night in Uyo after most of the foreign
call-ups joined up yesterday
Ibrahim Alhassan ‘Muazzam’ (Austria
Wien/Austria), Musa Mohammed (Lokomotiv Plodiv/Bulgaria), Usman Mohammed
(Sarpsborg/Norway), Chidiebere Nwakali (Aberdeen/Scotland) all reported
to the team’s Bolton White Hotel in Abuja.
“By the last count, we had at least 18 players in camp,” a team official informed SCORENigeria
Yesterday Kelechi Nwakali was the only foreign-based invitee in the training camp.
However, the NFF has formally asked the
club of Sadiq Umar to release him for the international friendly, while
Norwegian club Lillestrom stopped Ifeanyi Matthew from the game, saying
it is not within the FIFA friendly window.
Turkey-based striker Emem Eduok was expected to arrive camp last night.
The team under coach Salisu Yusuf had a
full training session at the FIFA Goal Project in Abuja. The team is
expected to fly into Uyo this morning.
